Considering their extremely usefulness, I’m wondering if there is any brains behind the old and newly opened banks to start implement viable ATM card system in our towns.

Pulp Fiction - You know what I'm saying?
Jules: Yo-yo-yo, man, you best back off, I'm getting pissed here. Look, just 'cause I wouldn't give no man a foot massage don't make it right for Marsellus to throw Antoine into a glass motherfucking house fucking up the way the nigga talks. That shit ain't right. Motherfucker do that shit to me, he better paralyze my ass because I'd kill the motherfucker, know what I'm saying?
Vincent: I ain't saying it's right. But you're saying a foot massage don't mean nothing, and I'm saying it does. Now, look, I've given a million ladies a million foot massages, and they all meant something. We act like they don't, but they do, and that's what's so fucking cool about them. There's a sensuous thing going on where you don't talk about it, but you know it, she knows it, fucking Marsellus knew it, and Antoine should have fucking better known better. I mean, that's his fucking wife, man, he ain't have no sense of humor about that shit. You know what I'm saying?

China’s success owes more to its entrepreneurs... →
The average return on equity of unlisted private firms is fully ten percentage points higher than the modest 4% achieved by wholly or partly state-owned enterprises. The number of registered private businesses grew at an average of 30% a year in 2000-09. Competition from private companies has driven up wages and benefits more than any new law—helping to create the consumers China (and its...

Responsible Tourism →
If you’re a frequent traveler and especially to the developing countries, you can do such good things as buying stuff on the street or sampling local food. You’re, in fact, helping the small businesses survive by making the poor locals winners.

Trash in my small town
Last night I heard someone from the town council had shouted through the loud speaker in the streets that anyone who throws garbage out to the river will be fined and punished. Majority of residents here are relying on this river for their daily consumption of water. And the warning has been there quite a long while. But I’ve noticed some people are still dumping their waste to the river...

A Lesson From Amazon: Focus On The Inputs →
That’s interesting! Contrary to many people think that financial ratios are important assessment to the business, Jeff differs otherwise but this wisdom come from a man who is managing America’s largest online retailer in reality. 360 of the 452 goals will have a direct impact on customer experience. The word revenue is used eight times and free cash flow is used only four times. ...

Facebook coming late into location sharing has as expected finally checked in. Just that they have enough resources and user base to kick out already existing services. They called it Facebook Places but their way of checking in is not as straight forward as others due to its usual concern about privacy. You might walk through settings if you care about being everybody knows where you are. Places...

San Francisco, California-based Levi Strauss is keen to expand its base in one of the world’s biggest consumer markets, where sales of apparel and footwear hit $169 billion last year, according to a report by Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, and growing at a healthy double-digit pace. Google launching a Chrome OS tablet on Verizon,... →
Google is building a Chrome OS tablet. It’s real, and it’s being built by HTC. Chrome OS looks more appealing to me to use with a tablet instead of Android or iOS. At times it could be exciting what apps can do over the browser. I guess with Chrome OS, we’ll see a whole new level of user experience that only browser dedicated OS can offer.

Arsenal have backed a groundbreaking new scheme which aims to give its fans more influence in the club’s affairs. The new ‘Arsenal Fanshare’ initiative is a means of buying small fractions of full shares at an affordable price. A single share in Arsenal Holdings PLC currently trades at more than £10,000 each. But - to buy one ‘fanshare’ - supporters will be invited...

Bookings vs Revenue →
When does the sales guy get credit for selling the deal? At booking, when the customer agrees to buy OR at revenue recognition, when the deal has met the revenue recognition requirements? By defining the sale as being sold at revenue recognition you turn your entire sales team into project managers, who become focused on making sure the deal is implemented and signed off on in order to get paid...

Kauffman Foundation has done extensive research on job creation. Kauffman Senior Fellow Tim Kane analyzed a new data set from the U.S. government, called Business Dynamics Statistics, which provides details about the age and employment of businesses started in the U.S. since 1977. What this showed was that startups aren’t just an important contributor to job growth: they’re the only thing....

What Happened to Yahoo →
Microsoft (back in the day), Google, and Facebook have all been obsessed with hiring the best programmers. Yahoo wasn’t. In technology, once you have bad programmers, you’re doomed. I can’t think of an instance where a company has sunk into technical mediocrity and recovered. Good programmers want to work with other good programmers. So once the quality of programmers at your...

There are a billion people worldwide today that don’t have access to safe tap water. The solution is not bottled water. The solution is developing high quality public water systems that can provide inexpensive water for everyone. It’s the cheapest, most equitable, most environmentally sound solution. Bill Gates: In Five Years The Best Education Will... →
Gates thinks the idea of young adults having to go to universities in order to get an education is going to go away relatively soon. Well, provided they’re self-motivated learners. I like this idea a lot. University educations is getting too expensive. And that will also save us a huge time spent commuting to and from school daily. But five years? Why not? Bill Gates thinks so. This Is Probably Taking Your Apple Hate Too Far →
A 25-year-old moving to New York is willing to pay $1400 for a room in SoHo. However, there’s no way in hell he would put up with any iPhone or iPad user, so apartment sharing candidates must be Apple-free: Lol, I kind of agree that Apple fanboys can be that annoying these days. They are very elitist. But I love my iPod nano though, at least I still cannot find a comparable substitute to...

The rich are different from you and me, they are... →
LIFE at the bottom is nasty, brutish and short. For this reason, heartless folk might assume that people in the lower social classes will be more self-interested and less inclined to consider the welfare of others than upper-class individuals, who can afford a certain noblesse oblige. A study suggests precisely the opposite. It is the poor, not the rich, who are inclined to charity. I tend to...

How to Rebuild Your Attention Span and Focus →
The first sentence opens like this:  Most people who click on this article won’t finish reading it. And ironically enough, I haven’t finished it yet, but I’m blogging about it anyway. The Acceleration Of Addictiveness →
Most people I know have problems with Internet addiction. We’re all trying to figure out our own customs for getting free of it. That’s why I don’t have an iPhone, for example; the last thing I want is for the Internet to follow me out into the world. My latest trick is taking long hikes. I used to think running was a better form of exercise than hiking because it took less...

The political genius of supply-side economics →
G.O.P. has been severely criticized for its fiscal policy of cutting massive tax on the riches. To understand modern Republican thinking on fiscal policy, we need to go back to perhaps the most politically brilliant (albeit economically unconvincing) idea in the history of fiscal policy: “supply-side economics”. Supply-side economics liberated conservatives from any need to insist on fiscal...

My thought on Flipboard and Google Reader
The major drawback of Flipboard to me is that it needs iPad, never mind I’m more than happy with Google Reader. Flipboard has that set of algorithms which can pull out highly engaged items for the viewer attention. But I prefer Reader’s personalized ranking better. Only feature Reader is missing compared to Flipboard is the ability to import twitter and somehow display it’s links...
